Why We Exist

Viavio was founded by clinicians, physicians and healthcare leaders who experienced first-hand the challenges facing acute care.

Rather than building technology and searching for a healthcare problem to solve, we started with a different question:

If we could redesign acute care today, how would we build it?

We mapped the patient journey, embedded clinical governance into every pathway and designed workflows around how clinicians actually deliver care. Only then did we build the technology.

Sarah Jane O'Dwyer

Founder & CEO

Sarah Jane O'Dwyer is the Founder and CEO of Viavio, bringing more than 30 years of experience in emergency care, hospital leadership and healthcare transformation across Europe and the Middle East.

A former emergency clinician, Sarah Jane founded Viavio after witnessing the growing pressures facing emergency departments and recognising the need for a fundamentally different model of acute care. Her vision is to support health systems deliver faster, safer and more connected emergency care through intelligent orchestration, virtual care and evidence-based clinical pathways.

Throughout her career, Sarah Jane has led complex transformation programmes across hospitals, health systems, governments and the healthcare industry, improving patient flow, operational performance, clinical quality and digital innovation.

Today, she leads Viavio's clinical vision, product strategy and global growth, working with healthcare leaders to transform how acute care is delivered—from individual hospitals to entire health systems.
